Dhanwantharam
This is our most
popular general massage oil. Named for the
patron deity of Ayurveda, it is a fragrant,
earthy oil containing 28 herbs. Dhanwantharam is good for all
body types, especially
Vata and Pitta. Featuring a potent anti-oxidant effect, it
rejuvenates the body and skin and increases immunity. Beneficial
for neurological and rheumatic diseases, as well as chronic Vata
conditions and

is famed for its analgesic qualities, as well as its
anti-rheumatic and anti-inflammatory effects,

the aforementioned qualities make it an excellent oil for athletes, as

herbs with well known hair stimulating qualities, this has

Neem Oil
A very cooling massage oil that is
anti-bacterial
and anti-fungal. Good for skin irritations, including scabies,

A
cooling, soothing red oil that is a specific for Pitta conditions, such
as
pain, inflammation or heat. Containing bees wax, it offers a

Restlessness, fear and anxiety are signs of aggravated Vata, which can
be heightened by excess stimulation, travel, the autumn season, and
aging. Prabhanjanam strengthens and rejuvenates,
calming and
warming Vata's delicate body and nerves. It protects against
aging
of the skin, enhances complexion and treats arthritis and
numbness.
A
beautiful, reddish oil with an almost fruity aroma, Sahacharadi has
anti-rheumatic and anti-inflammatory properties and is excellent for
Vata
and Kapha types. It is specific for pain in the limbs, tremors,
wasting of muscles and nerve damage, especially in the legs. It

Although there are several kinds of
sesame
seeds, the black sesame seed yields the oil with the most medicinal
qualities. High in minerals and anti-oxidants, sesame oil is excellent
for Vata conditions; it increases Pitta and can be used moderately by
Kapha individuals.
Black sesame oil addresses swelling, muscular pain and stiffness. It
also strengthens and nourishes the hair and skin, improving the texture
of both. Used regularly it can restore hair to its natural color,
increase vitality and treat the pain of arthritis.
